It was my father's birthday not too long ago. For the first time in years, I wanted to give him a drawing. One of the things I thank my dad for is all the movies he showed me as I grew up and still to this day. The 70s French movie "L'aventure, c'est l'aventure" by Claude Lelouch is one of those films. I watch it every year or so and find little funny details every time. It's not the best movie ever made, but the camaraderie of the legendary cast is palpable. Some elements are dated however lots of it is still so current that it's pathetic... but isn't tragedy at the core of comedy?
The drawing is from a famous scene in the movie where the guys are trying to seduce women who are half their age by parading in the most macho ridiculous way. If you're curious, check out the scene here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTm0X93l8vk
Joyeux anniversaire Papa!
