I have been working on this comic for months. Between crunch time at work and many things in life I had to deal with, it has been a more challenging one to finish. Perhaps it also has to do with me trying to tell the same story in a clearer and hopefully better way? Summer 2020 was such a strange one and my older self kept coming back in my memories. I think my subconscious was telling me to take care of myself during the crisis. I remembered a time when restricting was my way of expressing some sort of self-defense against things I didn't have control on. These comics remain an experiment and I try to learn something from making them. I hope you enjoy reading them too.

My blog
I drew this to share on some social media platforms where I can't share my life drawings. This is also the reason I removed all my life drawings from this blog. The strange thing is I can still share them on my Instagram account. This feels completely absurd and I hope I don't get banned!

Get Back
I watched and enjoyed every minute of the Get Back documentary by Peter Jackson. It took me much longer to finish the drawing I wanted to get out of my system than watching the film. The end of this year is so intense on so many levels for so many of us and Beatle-land offers an escape of the present...or a pause on it. Their story isn't always one that is easy to dive into and perhaps that's why it's so powerful. They overcame their differences and created masterful music.

Doodles part 9
Another series of drawings for my dear step-nieces... Summer has come and gone, and if I slowed down on the doodles, I am grateful for all their warm sunny days stories.

Step-nieces doodles part 7
It never gets old. I can't believe it's been over a year of those wonderful doodles. The joy I get when they send me their drawings in the mail is indescribable.
