Louis de Funès

Childhood summer flashback: watching all the Louis de Funès that were broadcast on national television. This week's inspiration came from remembering "La Grande Vadrouille".

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

I watched "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" yesterday. What a fun and beautiful film. I am not as much a die hard Harry Potter fan as other people are, but I do enjoy the movies. Maybe that's why I didn't mind this one felt a little different. There is something interesting about it taking during the roaring 20s. The creatures were amazing and lovely costumes.

Arcade Fire- Régine Chassagne

Arcade Fire is releasing a new album in a few days and I'm thrilled about it! The songs and videos they released so far are addictive. Here's to one of the band members who's positive impact on the world never stops to inspire.

Dancing class for boys

A friend of mine shared a picture of her son taking dancing classes for the first time. It was the most adorable scene.

Louise Lecavalier

I love drawing dancers and athletes. This week, I thought I would get a little closer to home. I have never seen Louise Lecavalier live, but I remember seeing her dancing so often on television in the 80s. Lately I have heard interviews with her on the radio. If her dancing is loud and seem aggressive to some, her voice is calm and her thoughts genuine. I hope to see her dance one day!

My gesture warm up sketches are from the croquis cafe youtube channel as usual. Louise Lecavalier's dancing pose is from her show "So Blue".
