Get Out

I am not the first person in line to go see the newest thriller or horror movie. On the other hand, sometimes movies are so good  that the story completely transcends the genre. I finally saw Get Out last week and I have no word...except that I can`t wait to see Jordan Peele's next movie.

The Beatles Help!

I completed the drawing I started last week, still and always inspired by the music of my favorite band since I was a kid.  This was so much fun! When I was a teenager, I made a comic book of the band's musical career for a history assignment. Drawing the Fab Four brought back a ton of memories.

Half of the Beatles

I wanted to draw something inspired by the Winter Olympics, then I thought about skiing as I was listening to the Beatles, so this came up...and I'm doing just fine!

Murphy Brown

One of my favorite sitcoms growing up was Murphy Brown. I was too young and not fluent enough in English to understand the political and journalistic aspects when it aired, but I could understand the physical humor and the stereotypes cracked me up. By the last season, I was old enough to enjoy most of the complexities and deeper implications of certain plot points. It was announced recently that the show would make a return. I'm all for it if it's done well. I'm crossing my fingers and rooting for Murphy Brown.

I found a classic clip on YouTube where Murphy sings Aretha Franklin's You Make Me Feel Like as she is making her self comfy at home after a workday:  The drawing doesn't do her justice, but it was a pretty swell afternoon looking at references online from the sitcom!
