Lucy Maud Montgomery and Anne of Green Gables

I have so many fond memories of reading Lucy Maud Montgomery's novels in my early teens. I don't know how many times I watched the CBC television series based on the "Anne of Green Gables" novels. Anne Shirley was such a strong and creative person, full of empathy and ambition. It's one of my favorite fictional characters.
